The presentation was led by\u00a0<strong>Mr. Maris Sangiampongsa<\/strong>, Minister of Foreign Affairs,\u00a0<strong>Mr. Danucha Pichayanan<\/strong>, Secretary-General of the National Economic and Social Development Council,\u00a0<strong>and Assistant Professor Chol Bunnag<\/strong>, Director of the SDG Move Research and Support Center. Thailand\u2019s 2025 VNR report emphasized progress in SDGs implementation at both policy and local levels, particularly the use of data as a policy direction tool through Thailand\u2019s SDGs Dashboard and trend-to-target analysis to identify inequalities and structural gaps, while promoting comprehensive participation from all sectors<\/p><p>Furthermore, NESDC on behalf of Thailand, co-hosted with the Ministry of Economy and Planning of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (MEP) a side event titled \u201c<strong>Leveraging Data and Technology to Accelerate SDGs Implementation, Monitoring and Follow-up\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0on July 23, 2025, at the United Nations Headquarters to provide a platform for exchanging knowledge and best practices in effectively using data and technology to drive SDGs. The event consisted of 3 key segments:\u00a0<strong>Session 1: Scene-setting<\/strong>\u00a0by\u00a0<strong>Mr. Daniel Eshetie<\/strong>, representative from the United Nations Statistics Division, and\u00a0<strong>Ms. Juliet Braslow<\/strong>, representative from ESCAP, who presented an overview of global and regional trends and data tools for driving SDGs\u00a0<strong>Session 2: Feature Address<\/strong>\u00a0by\u00a0<strong>Dr. Sabina Alkire<\/strong>, Director of the Oxford Poverty and Human Development Initiative (OPHI), who presented via video on the role of data, particularly the Multidimensional Poverty Index (MPI), which was reported in the 2025 VNR of 19 countries worldwide to comprehensively reflect poverty and drive policy through data application, and\u00a0<strong>Session 3: Panel Discussion<\/strong>\u00a0under the topic\u00a0<strong>\u201cCountry Experiences in Leveraging Data and Technology to Accelerate SDGs Implementation\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0featuring\u00a0<strong>Ms. Yara Sindi<\/strong>, representative from Saudi Arabia,\u00a0<strong>Dr. Stefan Bauernfeind<\/strong>, representative from Germany,\u00a0<strong>Mr. Solly Molayi<\/strong>, representative from South Africa, and<strong>\u00a0Dr. Thatchai Keeratipongpaiboon<\/strong>\u00a0, Director of the Strategy and International Cooperation Coordination Division, NESDC, as Thailand\u2019s representative, sharing experiences and best practices. Thailand\u2019s participation in HLPF 2025 and the organization of this side event clearly reflects Thailand\u2019s role on the international stage as a country committed to driving sustainable development with clear objectives based on data, facts, and cooperation from all sectors. The knowledge and experience from this forum will be brought back and applied to comprehensively enhance SDGs implementation capacity in the Thai context<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><div>Strategy and
